Vincent A. Liberti, Jr.

Founder & Lead Counsel

"By focusing on both broad and specific concerns, I assist clients with creating their ideal estate plan, given their objectives, and integrate it with their business model for personal, family, and business asset protection."

Vincent Liberti combines a down-to-earth manner with over thirty years of experience and over a decade of teaching estate planning to lawyers across the country. He adroitly advises clients in acquiring, managing, and distributing their wealth in the most optimal and tax-proficient ways.

A Rare Academic Authority

Unlike many legal practitioners, Vincent brings a deep academic and practical foundation to his counsel. He formerly served as an Adjunct Professor of Law for Western New England University School of Law's postdoctoral Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program, which he too graduated, teaching advanced Estate Planning and Elder Law to other attorneys.

He combines this high-level technical knowledge with an extensive practical background in real estate and mortgage brokerage—experience he gained prior to establishing his legal practice. This broad perspective allows him to conceptualize and draft highly sophisticated, customized instruments for his clients' specific needs and objectives.

Comprehensive Planning

Vincent's practice encompasses complex matters dealing with wealth acquisition, preservation, and transfer. His clients include individuals, couples, fiduciaries, fellow lawyers, and family-owned businesses. He is highly skilled in navigating:

  • Simple to sophisticated Estate Planning concepts and solutions
  • Capital Gains, Gift & Estate Tax Analyses
  • Asset Protection Methods
  • Business Formation & Succession
  • Elder Law & Medicaid Planning
  • Special Needs Trusts & Litigation Settlement Trusts
  • Probate Administration & Fiduciary Representation
  • Residential & Commercial Real Estate
  • IRC Section 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges
  • Conservatorships
  • Prenuptial Agreements

Author & Thought Leader

Vincent has been a sought-after voice on complex planning issues, having been interviewed for television, radio, and print regarding same-sex marriage and estate planning issues, pet trusts, reverse mortgages, and elderly protection. Throughout his career he has presented estate planning and asset protection concerns to audiences.

He is the author of the comprehensive book, “Preparing for Your Elder Years: Taking Charge of Estate Planning, Long-Term Care, Asset Protection, and Medicaid,” and has published numerous articles regarding estate planning matters, with a particular focus on the Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts regions.
